Pharma to shed 6000 jobs

More details are emerging about MSD's US$3 billion cost-cutting program with the company revealing it will shed 6000 jobs or about eight per cent of its global workforce.
The 'multiyear optimisation initiative' was announced during MSD's second quarter results last week but the number of jobs to go was not specified at that time.
