'Ozempic face' spawns new market

So-called 'Ozempic face' - the sagging skin, tired appearance and wrinkles that can be a result of medication-driven weight loss - has led to the growth of a whole new market: the use of fillers and other treatments to plump up the faces of weight-loss patients.

As many as one in eight adults in the US has taken prescription weight-loss medication, and the number of prescriptions for these medications increased by more than 300 per cent between 2020 and 2022, according Balancing the Scales, a report by Switzerland-based pharma Galderma.
