Patient advocates call out 'slur'

CEO of the Consumer Health Forum, Elizabeth Deveny, has lashed out at the term "professional consumer" which she said is being used as a slur against patient advocates.

In a frank post on LinkedIn, Deveney said instead of being elevated for becoming highly educated healthcare experts, patient advocates are dismissed and even mocked.
