Pharmac names new leader

Pharmac has found a new CEO to lead its intended cultural shift as the organisation repairs its relationship with external stakeholders.

The appointment comes at a pivotal time for the New Zealand funding body, which was rocked by scandal and used as a political punching bag in the last NZ election. However, the incoming government boosted Pharmac's budget by 40 per cent, giving it the finances to fund medicines it had previously had to choose between.
