Lack of specific skills and talents have been named as the biggest obstacle facing pharmaceutical companies in their digital transformation journey, according to a new survey, with Big Pharma hit hardest by a severe skills shortage.
The Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies in the Healthcare Industry 2024 survey conducted by GlobalData revealed 49 per cent of industry professionals believed a shortage of talent with specific digital skills was the number one handbrake preventing progress with digital innovations.
