ABC puts heat on bone drug

The Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) has called for informed consent on the side effects of Prolia after the ABC News exposed that practitioners are not effectively communicating the risks to Aussie patients.

The Amgen sponsored osteoporosis treatment is represented by Arrotex and is one of Australia's most reimbursed drugs, earning over $258 million in pre-rebate PBS benefits in 2023.
