GPs enter PBS migraine battle

In consultation with a neurologist, GPs can now prescribe three PBS listed migraine drugs - Teva Pharma's Ajovy, Eli Lilly's Emgality and Lundbeck's Vyepti - after a rule change came into effect this month.
As of 1 November, the condition on the PBS listing was changed from 'Must be treated by a neurologist' to 'Must be treated by a neurologist' or 'Must be treated by a general practitioner in consultation with a neurologist'.
