AstraZeneca's new solar car park was officially opened by Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, on Friday as the pharma races towards using only renewable energy by the end of next year.
The car park for AstraZeneca's Macquarie Park manufacturing site is now completely covered in 1092 photovoltaic panels that produce 972 MWh of electricity per annum. The site employs over 400 people and exports to more than ten countries.
