Medicines Australia (MA) has provided a detailed briefing on what happened inside an urgent meeting with Department of Health officials but it seems PBAC is pushing forward with plans to defer 24 major and 21 minor submissions presented to the March meeting.
Despite MA branding the meeting "productive" it appears to have failed to change the status quo. While there seems no hope of a backflip by the Department on its decision to slim down the March meeting agenda, industry is seeking a bulked up intracycle meeting to ease some of the pressure now looming for the July meeting. This has not been agreed to.
