Aussie boss paid up to $2M to stay

Posted 4 June 2024 PM

In the midst of its merger with Chemist Warehouse, Sigma Healthcare is working to retain its top leadership by offering retention bonuses - including up to $2 million for its leader - but not everyone is happy.

CEO Vikesh Ramsunder is eligible for a retention payment of $1 million on 11 December 2024, a full year after the announcement of the proposed merger with Chemist Warehouse, and a second retention payment of $500,000 paid 24 months after the announcement. If the merger doesn't go through, the second payment will increase to $1 million.
