Age-based discrimination has been named as the most widespread form of discrimination in the life sciences industry, according to a new survey, with 65 per cent of respondents believing it's "prevalent".
The BioSpace State of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in Life Sciences report found that concern about age discrimination was more acute in older cohorts. In the 18-24-year-old age group, 53 per cent described it as prevalent compared to 70 per cent of respondents aged 55 to 64. There were gender differences too.
