'Defining moment' for Sydney viral vector facility

The TGA has granted Sydney's Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility (VVMF) a licence to manufacture therapeutic goods, marking a significant milestone for the company and sovereign capability for Australia.

The GMP licence enables VVMF to manufacture viral vectors under GMP conditions to support the development and commercialisation of advanced therapeutic products for Australian and global clients.

The licence authorises the GMP manufacture of replication-incompetent viral vectors using recombinant technology, as either sterile APIs or sterile Medicinal Products, together with associated Quality Control testing.
