Butler tips more drugs to follow the 'Beast’
Health Minister, Mark Butler, says he is “very confident” that other immunotherapy drug makers will submit broad PBS listing submissions, just days after three companies officially began the process and MSD’s “beast” Keytruda was listed.
As part of its September intracycle meeting, held on Friday, the PBAC considered Medison Pharma’s Libtayo, AstraZeneca’s Imfinzi, and BeOne Medicines’ Tevimbra.
Each sponsor provided a summary of clinical evidence, intended to support a future submission requesting a broad PBS listing for immunotherapy-sensitive advanced or metastatic cancers, which the committee is now expected to provide advice on. The outcomes will be made public on 16 October.
