EU tick paves way for bumper payday

ASX-listed Neuren Pharmaceuticals has announced its flagship product Daybu has been granted marketing authorisation by the European Medicines Agency. 

Daybu, which is licenced globally by Acadia Pharmaceuticals, is used for the treatment of neurobehavioral symptoms of Rett syndrome in adults and pediatric patients aged five years and older, and is marketed as Daybue in the United States. 

"We are delighted for the Rett syndrome community in Europe, who, until now, have had no approved treatment for this devastating condition," Neuren CEO, Jon Pilcher, said. "The European Commission's approval of Daybu is particularly rewarding for Neuren given our long-standing commitment to developing therapies for serious neurological disorders with profound unmet need."
