Biggest drug preps for rivals

MSD has registered Keytruda SC, an under-the-skin version of its blockbuster PD-1 inhibitor and long time world's best-selling drug, in a key defensive move as the company prepares for biosimilar competition for its long-standing intravenous version ahead of its looming patent expiry.

Keytruda SC combines pembrolizumab with Alteogen’s berahyaluronidase alfa, an enzyme used to improve the absorption and dispersion of drugs and other agents.
