What happened to the PBS in Q1?

There was a massive drop in reported earnings on the R/PBS in the first quarter of this year, with no clear indication as to the cause.

Quarterly movements in PBS spending and service volumes can reflect administrative and other factors rather than patient use of PBS services, according to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. This can be due to claim processing time-frames and administrative changes to listings.
