Best drug name of 2026 goes to...

Dawnzera is the drug name of the year for 2026, after narrowly defeating its fellow Ionis drug Tryngolza in a nail-biting championship round of the FierceMadness Drug Name Tournament.
Dawnzera won 51.2 per cent of votes cast by Fierce Pharma readers in the head-to-head battle, with voters praising it for the use of the word “dawn” and ease of pronunciation. “Dawnzera brings hope for a new day!” one voter said.
