A new national survey commissioned by Novartis has exposed entrenched public misperceptions about multiple sclerosis (MS) which negatively shape the everyday experiences, relationships, and opportunities of people living with the condition.
Fewer than one in three Australians surveyed (32 per cent) have heard of MS and among those who are aware of the condition, 76 per cent either don’t believe, or don’t fully agree, that people with MS can have an active and happy life, even with treatment.
