Govt blasted over drug shortages

Australia’s handling of drug shortages is under fire, with Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPHa) revealing clinicians are being forced to make high-stake treatment decisions that could compromise patient safety.

AdPHa has called on the Federal Government to establish a National Medicine Shortages and Discontinuations Clinical Advice Service, designed to provide real-time clinical guidance to healthcare professionals managing medicines supply disruptions.
