Ex-Aussie MD departs top US job

Former Managing Director for Amgen in Australia, Ian Thompson, who rose to lead the company's US business has announced he will be stepping down at the end of the year.
Thompson said he will "retire" from his current role as Amgen's General Manager United States - a position he's held for more than four-and-a-half-years.
