MA treads carefully on PBS threat

Medicines Australia is tip-toeing through a minefield. The nation is outraged by the American pharma industry body urging the US Government to apply trade pressure to change the PBS - but the grievances raised are the very ones MA has been lobbying about for years.

While MA must advocate for the commercial interests of its member companies, it also needs to keep up relations with the Australian Government, now more than ever - not only because it holds the purse strings but because it also holds the key to HTA reform.
