With an election looming, Palliative Care Australia (PCA) has again slammed the Federal Government for failing to ensure the supply of palliative care medicines, launching a 11-point plan to resolve the issue as those responsible “seem stuck for answers”.
Most of the affected medicines are vital opioid analgesics that have been used for decades to manage severe pain and other symptoms in palliative care patients.
