Judge cuts patent for $50M market

Another patent extension has been ruled invalid, paving the way for generics to challenge a $50 million market.
Justice Kylie Downes ruled in the Federal Court that a patent extension covering Abilify Maintena, sponsored by Lundbeck in Australia, was wrongly granted. The extension meant the patent had an expiry date of 25 July 2029.
