Industry exec wins professorship

High-flying former Novartis executive, Mike Exton, has added another feather to his cap, named an Honorary Professor of Professional Practice in the Business School at the University of Newcastle where he completed his PhD.

No doubt he has plenty of career advice to share with up-and-coming undergraduates - he nabbed the role of CEO of Lexicon Pharmaceuticals in July after a stellar 13-year career at Novartis, finishing up there as Global Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area Head.
