Socials shaping doctor prescribing

An Australian survey of GPs and specialists has revealed that social media is altering doctors' perceptions of medications, influencing their prescribing behaviours and shaping their opinions of pharma companies.

Figures released today by SoWhat? Research shows socials are shaping doctors' prescribing decisions with 35 per cent of those surveyed revealing social media had changed their perception of a medication, 28 per cent said it had changed their willingness to prescribe a medication and 20 per cent said it had changed their perception of a pharma company.
