Summit tackles translation roadmap

More than 100 of Australia's leading industry figures are meeting in Canberra today for the first-ever National Biotech and Medtech Development and Commercialisation Summit to develop a roadmap that will advance the sector's translation, development and commercialisation capacity.
Hosted by AusBiotech and MTP Connect, the Summit aims to thrash out strategies to address the gap between research and commercialisation. While Australia consistently ranks in the top ten worldwide on the Global Innovation Index, commercialisation efforts are lagging with the nation currently sitting at 30 when it comes to research outputs.
