The Victorian Parliament was told that the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre had just "half a day's cash on hand" as at June 30, with the opposition accusing the Premier of "starving" the leading cancer treatment centre of funding, leaving it unable to pay fortnightly wages to doctors and nurses.
Victorian Opposition Leader John Pesutto asked the Premier Jacinta Allan for an explanation during a rowdy session of question time last Thursday in which the Speaker was forced to call the house to order 12 times.
