Lack of foresight broke HTA system

Medicines Australia has reiterated calls for an effective horizon scanning process to ensure Australia's health technology assessment system can cope with the surge of new treatments in development.
The call comes mere weeks after PBAC was forced to defer consideration of the majority of submission to the March PBAC meeting, with the fallout from the decision still ongoing.
