More than $22 million worth of vaccines are lost every year in Australia due to cold-chain breaches, according to World Health Organisation figures, prompting the launch of Australia's first vaccine fridge with an integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
Developed through a partnership between medical cold storage manufacturer Vacc-Safe and experts in uninterruptible power supply PSS Distributors, the Vacc-Safe PowerGuard fridge has an integrated UPS battery back-up which ensures vaccines remain stored under optimal conditions - even during power outages - meeting stringent government regulations.
