Methods to fight the opioid crisis in Australia have proven successful, with studies showing the use of oxycodone almost halved after the measures were implemented.
A paper published in Addiction reports on the effectiveness of efforts by the TGA to reduce oxycodone prescriptions. The drug is prescribed for managing moderate to severe pain, but is associated with a risk of addiction and misuse.
