The TGA is playing hardball over unlawful advertising of drugs used off-label for weight loss, issuing 21 infringements to six businesses with fines totalling almost $320,000.
The regulator alleges each of the businesses promoted the use and supply of prescription-only medicines including Novo Nordisk's Ozempic and Saxenda, used for weight loss, and erectile dysfunction drug Viagra, sponsored by Viatris.
