New life for used blister packs

Waste pharmaceutical blister packs are being recycled into new PVC fencing and decking as part of a collaboration between Vinyl Council of Australia member Think Fencing and industry partners.

Victorian-based Think Fencing has partnered with Pharmacycle to recycle blister packaging collected via drop-off points located in pharmacies, hospitals and local council sites nationally. Joining early adopters, Bloom The Chemist and National Pharmacies, pharmacy giant Chemist Warehouse has recently partnered with Pharmacycle to expand the number of drop-off locations available.
