Pharma caught in crazy conspiracy

Posted 20 February 2024 AM

Pharma is at the heart of Australia's craziest conspiracy theory with a study by La Trobe University revealing almost one in five believe 'pharmaceutical companies have suppressed a cure for cancer to protect their profits'.

The claim was believed by 18 per cent of those surveyed - making it the most popular conspiracy theory presented. It bumped out other outrageous claims including that the collapse of the World Trade Centre on 911 was controlled by US Government insiders (14 per cent) and that the New World Order is planning to rule the world (believed by 13 per cent).
