PBS first-timers making it big

PBS first-timers, new to market in the last 12 months, have hit the ground running with three standout drugs bringing home a tidy eight figure sum in a year or less.

A Pharma in Focus analysis of 11 drugs that were listed for the first time on the PBS in the past 12 months has painted a vivid picture of which drugs are penetrating the market and how fast.

Leading the pack are drugs by Sanofi, Roche and Kyowa Kirin with the analysis uncovering how much they had earned in pre-rebate R/PBS reimbursements from time of listing until the end of September, the period for which data is available.
