There's a new Goliath in town, with Eli Lilly surpassing Johnson & Johnson (J&J) in market capitalisation for the first time since October 1997.
When trading in the US closed last week, Eli Lilly was worth $634.8 billion (US$419.9 billion), while J&J had a market cap of $616.7 billion (US$407.9 billion).
