17 drugs vie for September PBS listing

A massive 17 submissions recommended by the PBAC are contenders for a September PBS listing after reaching the last stage before listing occurs.

Nine of the 17 submissions entered the government processes stage, also known as the last stage before listing occurs, last month.

This includes MSD’s broad PBS listing proposal for PD-1 inhibitor Keytruda in advanced or metastatic cancers, which would follow a similar listing in March that has seen earnings for BMS’ immunotherapy drugs Opdivo and Yervoy surge.
