New CEO for Aussie oncology company

Percheron Therapeutics has appointed Dr Michael Baker as its coming Managing Director and CEO, succeeding Dr James Garner, who is leaving the role to pursue a new opportunity overseas.

While Garner’s next move is yet to be announced, he will remain in his current position until 31 August to ensure an “orderly transition” before Baker takes over on 5 October, the ASX-listed biotech told shareholders yesterday.

“It has been a privilege to be part of Percheron over the past three years, and I am tremendously grateful for the support I have received from the Board and the company’s shareholders throughout my tenure,” Garner said.
