Novo's obesity pill hits the TGA

Novo Nordisk has applied for TGA approval to sell its Wegovy pill in Australia, setting the stage for new turf war with Lilly which submitted its own oral GLP-1 for evaluation to the regulator in January.

“Novo Nordisk is working towards making Wegovy pill available in Australia as part of our commitment to bringing innovations in obesity treatment for Australian patients,” a Novo spokesperson told Pharma in Focus.
