The number of Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS) has risen by more than 13 per cent in just three years, driving the cost of the disease to more than $3 billion a year, a new report has found.
A record 37,756 Australians were living with MS last year, according to the report, Multiple Sclerosis Prevalence and Health Economic Impact in Australia 2025, commissioned by MS Australia and produced in collaboration with the Menzies Institute for Medical Research at the University of Tasmania.
