Three brands hit with first generic

Competition has heated up for Novo Nordisk, Merck Healthcare, and Mayne Pharma with the TGA approving the first generic versions of their medicines last week along with a new prescription vitamin D supplement.

Sun Pharma registered the first copycat of Novo Nordisk’s GLP-1 receptor agonists Saxenda and Victoza under three brands – Benedo, Liraglutide RBX, and Liraglutide Sun.
