Awareness boost for side-effect

A new survey commissioned by Boston Scientific has exposed high rates of erectile dysfunction (ED) among Australian men aged 40 and over, prompting a new awareness campaign.

A common side-effect of prostate cancer treatment and other underlying medical conditions - diabetes, heart and blood vessel disorders, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol - ED affects 32 per cent of Australian men aged 40-plus at least once a month and 22 per cent at least once a week.
