Campaign targets hot topic

More than eight in 10 Australian women who have experienced menopause symptoms report impacts on their quality of life, but nearly half don't feel comfortable talking about it to people outside close family and friends, according to a survey commissioned by Astellas Australia.

The subject is particularly touchy at work with 44 per cent stating they don't feel comfortable talking to their employer, a quarter don't feel comfortable talking to their work colleagues and one in five (22 per cent) don't feel comfortable talking to their children about menopause.
