Australians' support for Genetically Modified (GM) technologies has slightly diminished overall but its use in pharmaceutical development still has the strongest support, according to new research.
An online survey of more than 1200 Australians commissioned by the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR) found support for GM technologies in 2024 largely reflects results shown in 2019 after the global Covid pandemic and spikes in support in 2021.
