Dear Minister, shortage crisis looms

Key health bodies have written to the Minister for Health and Aged Care Mark Butler warning of a looming health crisis as a result of critical, acute pain medications being "in dire shortage".

The concerns relate to palliative care patients of all ages as well as those with chronic pain, cancer and other conditions requiring effective pain control.
