Ex-Novartis leader scores top job

After a global search, Starpharma has found its new CEO, who'll start early next year.

Cheryl Maley, who was Novartis' General Manager of Oncology ANZ until October last year, will start in the role on 8 January 2024. She'll also fill the role of Managing Director.

She has over 25 years in the industry, and in addition to her nine years in leadership roles at Novartis she has been the Director of Commercial Excellence at AbbVie and Director of Global Strategic Initiatives Immunology at Abbott Laboratories. She has also worked at Servier and Wyeth.
