Reign over for No 1 PBS champ?

Long-time PBS champion Bayer's Eylea has dropped another place in the PBS rankings coming in third in the last financial quarter, with a major shake up of the Top 10 earners in play.

The treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration was usurped by Covid antiviral Lagevrio in first place and Vertex's cystic fibrosis combo Trikafta in second. 

While Lagevrio continued its tight grip on the lead position in Q4 2022 with a boost in pre-rebate R/PBS reimbursements of 7.2 per cent compared to Q3, its reign is certain to be short-lived.
