Overuse warning for popular drug

Respiratory disease experts are concerned that around three quarters of Aussies with asthma are being prescribed too much preventer medicine and urge that "more is not always better".

Australian guidelines recommend the consideration of stepping down the dose of therapy when asthma has been stable and well controlled for two-three months in adults, and six months in children.
