An online comment piece on the future of the pharma sales rep has "blown up" with almost 200,000 views, a thousand-plus reactions and heated debate over whether the role is dead.

A week ago, pharma veteran and founder of UK digital sales consultancy 28b, James Harper, stated his view that the sales rep role is evolving but not in danger of extinction.
