Fines pile up in TGA mini-blitz

The TGA has gone on a mini-blitz, issuing nine fines totalling more than $100,000 to four entities for alleged breaches of advertising and importation regulations.

TMF Cosmeceuticals was issued two infringement notices totalling $26,640 for the alleged unlawful importation of prescription-only medicine ivermectin on two occasions. During the pandemic around a third of the fines issued by the TGA were to breaches of COVID-19 advertising regulations.
