Pitch for billion dollar industry

Two industry bodies are calling on the incoming government to prioritise the billion-dollar industry of genomics and precision medicine, insisting it will also support the sustainability of the health system.

In a joint election statement, the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) and the Industry Genomics Network Alliance (InGeNA) said precision health, underpinned by the field of genomics, is relevant today to all Australians regardless of where they live.
